Love Is – Day 2

Kim Speaks Up - Love is Day 2

Love is…Day 2

Love holds the power to turn any coward into a hero. It sharpens our vision to see the every day through a lens of beauty. The mundane of the ordinary is transformed into a kaleidoscope of opportunity. The impossible now seems possible. The hard things are worth it. Hope is now tangible. You are determined to press a little further, plunge a little deeper, and climb a little higher because daily Love unfolds from its magical rapture.

It is the tender touch of a mother as she caresses her newborn at birth. It is the glue that binds once sparring enemies and hinges them to a doorway of reconciliation as friends. It is what shapes the heart of the hardest man as he surrenders to hands of the most fragile woman. Love is….

Love holds the power to humble the mighty and empower the weak. Love is not restricted by gender, race, religion, or color. It gives life to the barren and makes whole the once broken. It clothes the naked and the poor. It feeds the hungry and gives water to the thirsty. You were created to love and for love

Love is a foretaste of something divine. It is eternal manna. It bridges waters and far lands to bring those distant by place, space, time, and circumstance closer together.  It is the only true currency for those who have no money. It is the most powerful sound that those without ears can hear, and the most beautiful sight that those without eyes can see, the most understood language that those who cannot speak, can testify,  and with textures so real that those who have no hands can feel.

Kim Speaks Up...Love them anyway pic.

Love proclaims the existence of something greater—something stronger—something that spans light years and galaxies yet can be understood by the familiar. This something must come from the heart of someone. Someone who cares more for me… more for you…more for us than we dare imagine.

Someone who knew that we needed love just as much as we needed to love. This SOMEONE is the reason that Love is…

  1. So this pregnant mama just teared up when you mentioned the newborn at birth. I love this post. 🙂

  2. I love your posts! This reminds me of 1 Corinthians 6:7! It is better to be cheated than cheat another! I feel that no matter what/how a person treats me I am going to remember/judge and be judged on how I acted! I cannot control others all I can do is love them and show them mercy which was given upon me! Love is SO powerful and important! If only we could all show more love, the world will be greater!

  3. Kimberely, I love how beautiful and inspiring your posts are. They’re the words that can speak to anyone, no matter what religious or spiritual background they come from. 🙂

  12. I just finished a series on loving more and how that is the greatest command God has given us. First to love Him and then to love each other. Love transforms life. I love your line about it adding meaning to the meaningful. Thank you for sharing!
