Love is…Day 5
Love is trusting that God’s plan is way better than any that we can devise. It is putting all our hope, all our dreams, all our vested interest into his hand and believing that without a doubt that the God of today can guarantee that He will take care of you tomorrow. Love is knowing that you do not have to be consumed with anxiety and worry about what will happen next because you take each step daily holding the hands of someone who cares for you more than you care for yourself. You can lift you head in prayer and gratitude knowing God will do just as He said.
Love is the reassurance that you can laugh at the future because you know all God-honoring decisions made are for your good and for His glory. Love is knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are able to be restored in the most broken places. You can be released from the darkest of prisons and you can be reconciled even after the most painful of relationships. Your peace is assured. Your freedom is assured. Your Love is assured. Your peace is assured. Your freedom is assured. Your Love is assured.
Love is the hope that flickers in the abyss of uncertainty when a faithful God takes care of a sometimes faithless you. Love bathes you with courage so you can stand tall in the midst of fear that even when you feel alone, you know that you are not lonely. Love directs you. Love drives you. Love protects you from the caustic notion of self-sufficiency. It reminds you, “I can do it better. Please trust in ME.”
It is strong enough to hold you in its arms and safe enough to keep you there.
Someone loves you greater than you can ever love yourself. Someone desires you more than you can ever be desired. Someone hopes that you prosper more than you can even dream. Someone seeks better for you even at your best. Someone wants to hold you, comfort you, and care for you. Someone requests to remind you that absolutely nothing and no one can separate you from love so powerful, so passionate, so personal and yet so public.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8-38:39
Trust me, you’ve never known love until you know love like this.
